Thanks for clearing that up. I'm sure Leon Klinghofer appreciated that distinction before he was in his wheelchair and his lifeless body was dumped overboard.

I'm also sure that grandmother and 18 month old BABY appreciated it before the ICE CREAM PARLOR they were at was bombed - ending the child's life.

And I'm sure the 2300+ victims of the World Trade Center also appreciate you clearing that up.

MISCONCEPTION #2: Islam oppresses women.

I'm sure Afghani women appreciate you assuring them. As do teenage girls who are forced to undergo mandatory female circumcision.

Here's the thing, folks. Until Palistinians stop dancing in the streets when innocent Americans die, until Saders, ice cream parlors, school buses and pizza places stop being military targets, and until THE REST OF ISLAM TAKES TO THE STREETS AND DENOUNCES THE TERRORISM THAT DEFINES YOUR RELIGION TO THE REST OF THE WORLD, we won't give a rat's ass what is misconstrued about Islam.

I saw a Pakistani man last night on Hardball (he was on with Zogby) discussing the propriety of using the term "Islamist" to descibe our current enemy. He was vehemently pro-America and flatly stated that he left his homeland of Pakistan because he wanted to be free and that he could only find such freedom in America.

There was no faint praise coming from him. He said loud and clear "I am on America's side." Rare isn't it?
