It seems I touched a raw nerve with you. But there is no need to take it personally.

Unfortunately, I for one have not read in detail your posts from Communist sources. On my side, in critical retrospect, if I took the effort to see your home page I probably would have answered that question myself in advance and that you were just providing the propaganda for discussion purposes.

An oversight on my part.

I am just suggesting here, maybe it is offbase, that it might be nice to tag Red Press with a comment or two (perhaps a disclaimer) by us Freepers. You know how internet print is compared to actual conversation; room for real misunderstanding, and it does not always pick up cynicism or sarcasm or whatever. Sorry if it 'frosted your ____', there, EOTS, and I apologize.

Hey, no offense taken and nothing taken personally.

I have read many of your posts or replies to other threads so I know where you stand for the most part (hence the name, American in Tokyo) I do have my doubts about Japan in some respects but only because we did drop the only atomic bomb ever to be dropped in history, on them. Just as China or Korea will never forget Japans occupation of their land, Japan will never forget the US dropping the big one on them. Thats not to say that they wish to seek revenge because I dont believe they do. Japan has come a long way and they are not the militaristic conquerors that they once were but if they are rearmed and obtain Nuclear weapons, the US should never let its guard down just because they are our ally. Obviously you know a great deal more about Japanese culture than I do for I only make short stops there in route to China but I dont see Japan as waiting for the right moment to get even with the United States for we are their greatest ally now and I think they would be more appreciative of having our military there if our military members would display more respect to their people and their laws.

I took it tough when I was in the Navy because women from other countries think that all sailors are alike...I on the other hand try to remember that while I am in another country I am a representitive of my own and what I do others will be judged for.

Anyway, sorry to come back at you so sharp. Please feel free to ping me on topics concerning US/Asia.

Best Regards!

EOTS
