Try to tell a child born with AIDS or a blood transfusion patient that homosexuality only affects those who engage in it.

The appropriate questions to ask are 1) How did AIDS infected blood get into the blood supply, 2) How did the woman giving birth contract AIDS?

Try to tell a woman who was raped that pornography just affects those who consume it.

Pornography is no more the cause of rape than guns are the cause of crime. The rapist is the cause of rape.

Try to tell a child growing up in a broken home with a broken heart how harmless adultery is to him or her.

As if making adultery a crime under the law is going to ensure happiness in a child's life. The home could very well be broken as a result of an infinite number of other factors and abuse could take place even in the absence of adultery. No law is going to make a parent a good parent.

We all pay for the consequences of other's sins.

It is a common tendency to view other peoples' problems as a societal problem, requiring a collectivist solution (which often entails the subjugation of rights). If people make irresponsible decisions in their life the consequences are theirs to bear. If the consequences cause harm to others then the individual responsible should pay restitution and/or be separated from society.

...there is no such thing as a 'harmless immorality.'

Who said there was?

People infected by engaging in sodomy and shooting up drugs donated blood.

You have yet another great argument for altered consciousness
You have another cherry picked article to promote the WOsD.
It must have been a slow day.

Just to show how easy it is...this article covers a wide range of issues.
The lifeblood of violent crime
Clive Kinlock is serving 70 years in prison for a violent crime fueled by alcohol.
Snip...The U.S. prison population is on the rise – from 1980 to 1996 it tripled, in large part because of criminal activity spawned by drug and alcohol abuse, according to the National Center on Addiction and Substance Abuse at Columbia University.
Although illegal drugs share the blame, alcohol was the real culprit, center chairman Joseph A. Califano Jr. said.

Snip...In November 1991, as the bank was foreclosing on his Great Falls home, Kinlock spent the night drinking, then abducted the barmaid, raped her several times and slit her throat.
And now you have yet another great argument for altered consciousness too. Only yours is with a "legal substance".

See how easy it is. I can dance all night. Try again BB.

Juvenile reductionism posing as a political philosophy.

Pathetic.

“Out of every hundred new ideas ninety-nine or more will probably be inferior to the traditional responses which they propose to replace. No one man, however brilliant or well-informed, can come in one lifetime to such fullness of understanding as to safely judge and dismiss the customs or institutions of his society, for these are the wisdom of generations after centuries of experiment in the laboratory of history.” -- Will and Ariel Durant

No man, however brilliant...

How much less ignorant zealots.

Yet I'm the perpetual adolescent, arrogant in my ignorance.
