We have hundred of thousands of Canadian Geese here. There's a huge march, Horicon Marsh, near my house, and it's a major stopping place for them. Some live there year round. (Read more about Horicon March if you want.)

It is probably not safe to walk around your house without a hard hat and overshoes then! They are the messiest birds when it comes to certain body functions!

Those would be the 'socialist' ones, who have grown dependent on the 'protection' of the state. Of course, they don't realize until too late that they are just being fattened up for the periodic thinning of the flock. The independent ones know they are really much safer making it on their own, and that 'hanging at the Marsh' is really quite life-threatening. {;~)
