Republican billboard welcomes Democrats to their Texas Convention
Gov. Rick Perry is running a full-page ad in today's El Paso Times. And before they reach Downtown, Democratic delegates will see a large billboard promoting the "Texas Democratic Party 2002 Convention" with a "Welcome and Bienvenidos a El Paso."But the names of Tom Daschle, Dick Gephardt, Joe Lieberman and Terry McAuliffe -- all national Democratic leaders -- are lined out and replaced by Texas Democrats Ron Kirk, Tony Sanchez, John Sharp and Molly Beth Malcolm.
