SS and Medicare is paid to recipients regardless of income. As well, both deductions are capped on a yearly basis. Once you pay the maximum amount per year, you pay no more for that year. In other words, the person who makes $105k/year pays the same amount of SS/Medicare as the persons who makes $1.5million/year.
