Hey, right or wrong, I'm all for it.
But why pick and choose? Eliminate the handouts. Don't let Illegals enter and overcrowd our schools. Deport imprisoned Illegal on release (drop them in Mexico City). Get rid of the anchor baby loophole. Heavily fine or seize companies that knowingly hire Illegals. Round up Illegal "day laborers" where they congregate and deport them.
Do it all, fight the Illegals on every front, and watch the stampede for the border.
I might add, fine and jail-time for ANY company employee who knowingly hires an Illegal.
I followed and reported to the local INS the license # of a brand new fancy-schmancy Range Rover that was busy taxiing around a new load of non-English speaking Mexicans, when his janitorial truck couldn't make the rounds. Outcome is still uncertain, but I sure felt alot better DOING something, instead of just sitting in my truck and cussing.
A couple years ago a local DryWall Magnate (clever Illegal manipulater) lost it ALL ... his million dollar Hillside mansion, the multiple Mercedes, the new 4wd Trucks, the snow machines, the 4-wheelers .... everthing. He ended up penniless and in jail down in FL, all for not paying his crews, forcing them to work 7/16's at times, living 20 to a 2bdrm house, and generally playing the benevolent-tyrant.
This is outright THEFT of decent paying entry-level jobs and opportunity which should be going to LEGAL working class Americans ... too many of whom are languishing in our prisons, or sitting at home on the sofa watching Ophra/Jerry Springer/Stern while 'Waitin' fir m'check'
It's long passed time for us to be willing to get directly involved in sleuthing out these situations in our own communities ... making sure we get the correct spelling of the name of the (INS) government bureaucrat who takes down our information. We must then be willing to follow up with further observation and inquiries.
Forget GW's little 'we just need to all go out and hug-our-neighbor' speech the other day. If we truly want to save our country and our culture, we'd better be ready and willing to get busy DOING ... start initiating and then acting upon our own local observations.
Sounds like Homeland Security to me.
