Mexico stole the land in a war by killing off the natives 450 years ago.
The U.S. acquired the land in a war with Mexico 150 years ago.
Mexican logic now concludes the land belongs to them.
Go figure.

About 8 years ago I was chatting with a Mexican immigrant and he said something to the effect that the Mexicans were going to take over simply because of their increasing population. I then asked him what they were going to do with California, turn it into a shithole like the one they left? He thought for awhile but could come up with no answer and he slowly walked away.

<SARCASM>No! No! No!
There shall be "NATO to the resque" humanitarian intervention. On the Mexican side, sure. Situation is very similar to one at Kosovo, so NATO shall act ASAP to prevent humanitarian disaster. And I know what shall be the last drop: street gangs shall call themselves KLA, ALA, NMLA and TLA (Liberation Armies of corresponding states).
Kalifornia is misspelled a bit? Who cares! So was Kosovo (Kosova in Albaneze lingo).
I will not be surprised to find aircraft from DMAFB (Tucson AZ) bombing local 790 KNST radio for broadcasting Rush Lumbaugh and Michael Savage! This right-wing outlet is clearly a tool of aggression against Mexico and makes a legitimate target for NATO (USA included) strike!

As I recall, it was just a few years ago hereon when I was laughed and derided very . . . cheekily . . . . for the very idea that Mexicans would ever be involved in any kind of invasion en mass of the U.S. Southwest.
I've known personally of plans, including weapons caches, toward that end for at least 30 years. I don't recall any of those connections at this point--they came via my library work at my university. But they were considered very reliable then.
I'm sorry to see increasing evidence that my sense was rather accurate.

In 30 years I predict that America will be Israel and the Mexicans will be Palestinians.

I am aware of the buildup; generally Marxist/H. Clintonism.
Somehow the Republicans think that the influx will support the Republican Party, because it is the party leaving the barn door open; but the local enforcers are on the left.
Such "leaders" do so by fear-mongering.
Thank God, that Bushies are too "compassionate" for that.

Zogby's poll found that 58 percent of Mexicans agree with the statement, "the territory of the United States' Southwest rightfully belongs to Mexico." Only 28 percent disagree, and 14 percent are unsure.
How odd. The illegal immigration apologists on this very forum . . .
This isn't really about illegal immigration. This is about the sense of entitlement that declares 'a desire equals a need, and a need equals a right.' It's no different from someone wanting any other wealth redistribution. 'They' (Mexicans) have the right to the US Southwest because they want it, just as 'they' (meaning anyone who advocates wealth redistribution) have the right to my money because they want it.
And half this country voted for it.

George Bush has the property they claim; but of course, he's a member of the government class and exempt from condemnation.

Azlatan will come. The Palestinians have had such incredible success, that this tactic will be replicated here in America. That's a very good analogy of the two situations. Previously I hadn't thought about in that respect, but you're dead right.
