It looks to me like the "AP WHite House C." was meant to be the byline, but got mucked up in the HTML process. That is dang funny.
I checked the HTML source on that page. There weren't any missing closures < / >.
Also the AP has left this unchanged (I noticed it still online at 10:43PM CST).
