As a teen, his novels truely fascinated him. From David to Vatican, I read most of them. As an adult, I've decided he was an exquisite ecclesiastical blend of the Weekly World News meets the National Enquirer. By the way, a while back there was a website claiming he met an unnatural demise.

There have been rumors to that effect. Sinister machinations of a similar order of gravity hinted at by Martin do indeed occasionally penetrate Church institutions. Whether he had exact and factual knowledge of real such events is an open question.

I have the link by freep mail only and only read one book as I did not know then he walk out on the Pope,never read another thing he wrote,death has no victories.
