I'm not chiseling this in stone just yet, it would be nice to find and punish the person who DID kill Danielle, but DW reminds of a lot of geeky, shy, engineer-type people who I know, who wouldn't hurt a flea, let alone a little girl.
As I was trying to fill in my children on the trial today (they're over 21, but I still strove for a pg-13 version), it occurred to me that the VDs and their buddies come off as thinking they're that cool group of people that everyone wants to know and hang out with.
DW seems like a quiet, intelligent, kinda lonely guy who would like to play with some of the big kids.
