Gees, some of you people are way off of the wall and trying to read too much into this. It has nothing to do with religion -- period. It's a very sad case of someone abducting a beautiful young girl from her home (e.g., the Poly Klaas case), and the parents are trying to do everything they can to get this known to the public for their help. Chill, people.

Wonderfully said GOP_Lady! - It is simple, this family lives in a trusting community, some creep spotted Elizabeth... because he was in the area working or visiting, or may even be living in the area. He entered the home at night when everyone was sleeping. He knew which room was hers, and the younger girl like to sleep with her big sister (they do not share a room), The creep had a gun and woke the older child up from a sound sleep. No overhead lights were turned on and the younger one laid still out of fear, she never saw his face (they have said this time and time again on Fox News) this why no composite drawing was done of the prep, because she only saw his profile in the dark or under very low light and from just being woke up. He probably walked Elizabeth out into the hall and down the stairs with a gun in her back and out the front door to his car. He probably told her before they left her bedroom that if she made a sudden move or scream he would shoot her in the back and kill the rest of her family when the woke up. The little one probably heard this and maybe that is why she laid there for 2 hours in fear, not knowing if the guy was still in the house or not OR maybe he knew the littler one was awake and told her that he come back and kill her or her family or Elizabeth if she ran out right after he left with Elizabeth.

The Smart family have SIMPLY not let themselves believe that Elizabeth is dead. Right now it is a 50/50 chance that it could go both ways or has gone one way or the other.
