Ha! I know enough about weather to know that a temperature at one place is far different then the same temperature in a nother place. Frankly, I think 96 where you are may well be a lot worse to deal with then 96 here would be. Although I do remember one summer when it was soooo hot here that I made a sandwich and by the time I had walked across the room it had literally toasted! Now.....that's a freakin hot day! :)

LOL!! When we were kids, we would try to fry eggs on the sidewalk on a hot day...what a mess, those eggs never fried.....hahaha
