Whenever I am intervieing for a position I look for a positive attitude and a willingness to work ... usually I can take those and turn them into a good employee at almost any position, no matter how technical as long as there is a rudimentary understanding and capacity.
But, if there is an enormous understadning and capacity and a bad attitude or bad work ethic ... that's a dead start ... no sense even bothering with it IMHO, much tougher, if not impossible to fix on the job.
