My hubby and myself both grew up in Chicago, home to frozen blizzardy winters....we were both there, during that awful snowstorm of the 1968(I think thats the year), when the whole city shut down....

Because of military moves, we lived for five years in North Carolina, and have now been in Western Washington State for almost 19 years now...

The hubby is no longer with the military, and we decided to make Washington State our home...

We get the same nonsense from friends and relatives back home in the Chicago area...they all think we should move back, even tho by choice we have been gone from there for a long, long time...

They always think we miss the snow...Hah...if I want to see snow, I will go up to Mt. Rainier...I can see snow whenever I want...

In fact, we were just up to Mt. Rainier over Mothers day, and the roads were lined by snow piles at least 20 feet high...and of course, the glacial snow on Rainier, stays year round...

So why, in the world, would we ever want to move back to an area, where the winters are frozen, blizzardy, and horrible, and the summers hot and humid and nasty...

But our friends and relatives still think we should move back...

When pigs fly, is when we will ever move back there..

I'd never want to live in Chicago either. It's way too big and way to congested.
