Sorry....I disagree. Had we been racial or ethnic profiling the morning of Sept. 11th, it would have worked. Arab Muslims boarding planes with one way tickets and all carrying box cutters and some who were on NCIC already for suspicion. It could not have hurt other than to offend the sensibilities of folks interested in being nice.

But now that we know about the threat, do you think they are still going to have Arabs do the dirty work? I don't. That would be poor strategy, and these people aren't that stupid.

Plus, how do you know the nice blonde girl isn't married to a Muslim, who decided to take the next flight due to "business reasons?" How do you know that the 5-year old girl didn't accept a toy from a shopkeeper in the airport? How do you know that the granny isn't carrying a birthday present from the granddaughter's nice, polite boyfriend, whom she thinks is Israeli but is actually Egyptian? How do you know they can't disguise themselves as grandmothers?

If I were al Quaeda, I would have begun with the Arabs and held the real sleepers in reserve.

Easy to say when one isn't one of those to be "profiled".
