I am surprised folks have not given the Arafat comment about big explosion more weight. Here we are at the 9 month anniversary and bad moon rising this evening and Tuesday evening. Arafat would definitely be in the know about any attack of a large magnitutude. God forbid but I assume his compound would be emptied about the time of the event. Maybe this is what the IDF is making sure of, that we know where we can find him when it's time to have a barrage of missiles rain down on his terror apparatus.

One thing I do not like regarding the time we find ourselves is that a great many educated ME families have returned home for the summer. I know a family that hotfooted it back to Egypt late last week. My dad, half-jokingly said to keep an eye on those folks. When they leave I might want to take it as my cue to take a little trip from the city. Not nice times.

And I am really concerned with the timing of this nabbing. You would think a serious plan would have several decoys set up to allow the authoritities to drop their guarding figuring they had uncovered the plot.

I dont know what you are talking about. It was pretty clear to me that Arafat was talking about an explosion of anger and violence in the arab world, particularly the west bank and gaza. I didnt see it as a reference to a bomb or bombing. I think you are reading into his comments something to use as a reference for your own paranoia.

My thoughts exactly last night! I was thinking how what Arafat said would fit perfectly with his knowledge of a major explosion here, and in the past week or so, I've also noticed people on FR remarking on dates of June 10 and 11, not to mention the fact that Moslems like the number 9. Hmmmm....
