From all that I have read these people constantly believe they are owed something for nothing. The war ended over 137 years ago at which time each black was offered a mule and 40 acres, now your telling me that they invested incorrectly and it's going to cost even more. Well since our great great great grandparents invested wisely, we shoudn't be held accountable for their bad investments. Do you think we should?

Give them all a check, but only after they are on the plane back to africa, and only after they turn in their us passport. I see no problem with returning them back to their "pre-slavery condition".

The u.s. government should only pay 1/3 of what they want, the other 2/3 will have to come from the spaniards who slave traded them, and the black african tribes that captured them in the first place. But that 2/3 is none of our business, since they will no longer be u.s. citizens, and the blacks that seek reparations will all be living in africa, of course, and it will be their problem, not ours.

This rally was first scheduled sometime late last year, early December from what I can tell. It's now only two months away, and it's still gotten virtually no media coverage. Pretty much the only people talking about this are pro-reparations groups.

On top of that, there is very little grass roots energy for this one. Yeah, polls do show a strong majority of blacks in favor of reparations, but the way it's often presented to others is as a "free money" option. Going to DC requires effort. So just like previous rallies have fizzled pretty badly, this one so far looks like it's going to be a dud: at the very least, there almost definitely won't be "millions" there for this.

Nevertheless, I've seen a few people saying that they will never pay. I feel the same way, and so I've started a web site for people to make this declaration:
