Millions of Blacks Coming to DC for Reparations Rally

Well if The AARLC had the funds I would put together a counter rally of Conservative and Conservative African-Americans to address the key problems that face the all Americans today. Believe me this so called Reparations Rally will draw a few thousand people at most. I would like to fly in people like Jesse Peterson Ron Paige Ken Hamblin Michael King and other great conservative minds that are ready to help AARLC address the problems face all Americans today! These guys need to get a life slaves and slave masters are long dead!

On target. By definition conservatives seek to maintain what they have. A solid Black middle class will move in this direction as most rising groups did when they realize this and when the bond of like-mindedness becomes stronger than the bond of color.

Racism is rampant on the part of blacks in this country. Even against their darker skinned bros. On the other hand white males have been discriminated against by the law, and gave everything blacks demanded, just to get beaten and raped just for being white (see LA, Cinncinatti) Affirmative action and welfare were the reparations. No other justification is believable. Most just dont know enough about current events to know that Jeesssssee et al are trying to seize the money for their organizations(no one can be stupid enough to not see that means Jessee and the lawyers make out, and only them.)

I can understand your points, and hope you are right, but with PC being so firmly entrenched in America, most likely, we will bend over and take it in the shorts, as we always do. I wish I could be more optimistic, but I am not.

Greetings, Mark17, and yes, we will take it in the shorts. Everyone knows the scam for reparations will not fly. In my opinion the professional blacks such as Jesse and Al are simply over and over getting that word, that concept, that entitlement in the public mind. Few Americans would be willing to pay lump sums to individuals who were never slaves by people who were never slaveholders.

But when the Reparations to Blacks Freedom Act (read tax hike) is implemented in Congress, we'll all be so used to the idea nobody will really have a cow and it will slip through like other freedom acts of late. And it won't go to individuals either....it will go to black organizations, black coalitions, black "education" outreaches.

You know.....Jesse and Al's pockets.

There will be no US governmental targeted suit. The law precludes it. The one existing suit and those in the pipeline are directed at US Corporations whose lineage can ber traced back to companies that profited from slavery. There is a group of young black lawyers who are driving this. They have a chance if they find the right judge. Then, it's sayonara for those companies.

I'll bet each and every one of the targeted companies makes campaign contributions to lots of legislators, and has lobbyists in Washington.....

.....lobbyists that can get favors from same bought-off legislators, like tax breaks...

....and perhaps even tax breaks in the amount of whatever they had to pay in reparations.

Just a thought.

The laws won't be changed. They protect the government from private suits. Take the time to see who is initiating the suits. They are educated, young and have made this their life's mission. They are going about it in the most effective way. AND, they themselves have voiced that they have no respect for Jackson, Sharpton and their type. It is not the blowhards that are calling for action in DC that we need to worry about. It is these bright, dedicated attorneys.

To be totally honest, I stated this about African culture in a "matter-of-fact" fashion.

There are true racists on this forum. I could name a half-dozen without having to think about it. I take them to task at every opportunity. I found it also unfortunate that you, of all posters would make a statement that makes their life any easier.

Indeed there are bunches of them here. I'm not talking about simple bigotry, but outright racism. But it was not my intent to do anything that "makes their life any easier." The author of the piece listed one of his grievances about the stripping of our "African culture." In my mind, arguing "African culture" is nothing more than an agenda with a ligitimate sounding name.

My objection really comes from the force-fed Afrocentric point of view that I've withstood and resisted. Their insistence on "African culture" is really too simple. They need some serious samples to investigate before I just accept this term without question.

There is no such thing as racism in this country, or if there is, it is marginal and unworthy attention. There is plenty of ethnocentrism, that is cultural resentments and dislikes, which is present in all human societies and it ain't going away. If a white person is resentful of loud, obnoxious black or brown or purple teenagers on a city bus, he's not necessarily a lab assistant of Dr Mengele who's just got off the boat from Paraguay. To pretend that there are not people in the world, and on this forum, who hold and state derogatory opinions about others simply because of their race is not deep thinking. It is denial. Do you believe it's a coincidence that there is a caution against racist posts on this forum?

I am not convinced that you spend time here and don't see the racism that crops up, and usually from the same sources. If, in fact that's your story then there is nothing to be learned from you.
