Guards Kill Men Trying To Hijack Ethopian Plane

ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia -- An Ethiopian government official says security guards foiled an attempt to hijack an Ethiopian Airlines plane.

The two suspected hijackers were killed.

Ethiopia's information minister says two men armed with knives tried to hijack the plane after it took off from Bahr Dar for Addis Ababa.

The information minister says security guards on board overpowered the hijackers and the aircraft landed safely in the capital.

One of the 42 passengers on board was hurt.

IMHO, someone on the plane was armed.
