When my aunt was three or four, she was playing outside and a man came up to her. He introduced himself as her uncle, and asked if she'd like to learn to whistle. She said yes, and he taught her. They talked for a while, then he said goodbye and walked away.
My aunt ran inside and asked why she'd never seen Uncle Leslie before. My grandmother, surprised, asked how she'd heard about him. "Oh, he just came to teach me how to whistle."
As for me, I felt my mom's presence for a long time after she died. And, I'm pretty sure, Uncle Leslie came to visit a couple of times also. Hard to explain, but I knew who it was.
So do I....I was once married to my ex-wife....now that was spooky!!
One day we decided to hold a seance, because we were all very curious about someone who had died. We thought it was very important to call back Mary Jo Kopeckne and find out the truth about her death. (We were good little Republicans even then). Several neighborhood children went upstairs into the back bedroom of our house, lit a candle, gathered in a circle around it, and started to ask for her spirit. Soon, we started to hear bumps and knocks and ghost like moans. We lit out of there scared to death. Later, we found out my father had climbed in the attic and caused all of the "ghost noises," but neadless to say we never tried this again.
The kid next door, however, still remained interested in the paranormal for a few years. Then something happened -- he won't discuss it -- both he and his parents witnessed whatever it was. After that, he would only say that it was dangerous and he was never going to attempt to connect with that world again.
How can anyone sleep with all these dead people running around! :-)
But why should we be surprised at this fact? I am not. That does not mean I want to see a ghost or be visited by a love done who is gone. I don't. Never have. And haven't been.
It just means that there is life after physical death, and it also means that there are demonic spirits in that "unseen world." Both of these facts are clearly taught in the Bible and, therefore, should not be a surprise at all.
Spooky? yes. Surprise? no.
Hey Focault's...tell her I have a nice ex-husband for her...they can spook each other...

Grandma had passed away the night before sometime between 9:30 and 10:00. The nurses aide told us that several of the residents had reported seeing Jesus in the hallway about 9:45.
We see things all the time which no longer exist. Everytime we look at the night sky. They are called stars.
We hear things all the time from people who are dead. Think about record albums and recording stars.
We see people all the time who are dead. Think pictures and movies.
We hear things out of thin air with special listening devices. They are called radios. There is a lag time between when things are broadcast and when we hear them, in effect we are listening to the past.
All these things were so far fetched before we knew about them that no one would have believed them. Is there some energy left over from our activities which we have yet to identify and understand?
Do these questions open our minds to "ghosts" and other paranormal events?
Food for thought
