I wonder if Senators ever concentrate on the flaws in the Senate...

The Senators created this mess but they never take responsibility for their action!

GW just took ANOTHER issue away from the RATS. They wanted Homeland Security to be a cabinet position and that was The President's plan all along.
What I would've liked to have seen, is, the F.B.I. mission returned to matters within the U.S. . I believe they are just spread too darn thin. I guess, with Homeland Security, that issue is moot.

There they go again-same bunch of psycho's who got us into this survival threatening mess, are out to block any cure for their problem. The flaws in Bush's plan, assuming there really are any, were likely designed in so as to not offend the liberals whose support is essential to the approval, and who hold perfection in contempt.
Has anyone ever seen the liberal democrats lend their sincere support to anything that did not appear to be fatally flawed?

I hope they do as good a job "fixing" the FBI and CIA as they have with the INS.

It's right that they are thinking critically.
Bush lacks political courage and I doubt he would have done anything less the FBI memos.

Bush has not indicated who would head the new department. Lieberman said Congress presumes Ridge would be its secretary. "It will be a surprise if that does not happen," Lieberman said on "Fox News Sunday."
You would think Joe would remember that GW has surprised the heck out of them, time and time again.

Did the press only find those who chose to criticize the administration? Cute. How long have these Senators been in DC? What did they know and when did they know it?
Bush is trying to do something that has never been done. Are these Senators that clueless about the size and evil of the enemy we face? Don't they get that they're aiding and strengthening the terrorists? Bush's only trying to save the world....and patch up the leaky, bloated ship of state he inherited from Frat Boy globetrotter even now conducting foreign policy illegally in a mindboggling display of disrespect for our Constitution and our survival as a nation.
Jennifer Harper writes that the rumor (Prowler scoop) that Alabama Republican Sen. Richard Shelby is switching back to the Democrats, if they maintain Senate control after this year's elections, is likely "sassy mischief" by Dems. "Some think the Democrats are deliberately floating rumors to irk Republicans pining for a GOP return come November. They can almost taste it, what with the tough re-election battles of Democrats Paul Wellstone of Minnesota, Tim Johnson of South Dakota and Jean Carnahan of Missouri."
Shelby's people deny it (as did Jeffords' a year ago). Personally I don't see how the Senator could survive the ridicule if he switched again (he jumped to Republicans in 1994), so I'll go with the "sassy mischief" theory.
