Okay, so it sounds like the Sporster is Harley's scaled-down, "entry-level" model. Judging from the photo, it still looks to be a pretty good-looking bike, though not as laid-back, low-slung and hoggish as some of the other Harleys I see.

Sportys are decent bikes. They are more of a sport bike for short rides, they are lighter and handle ok. They are lousey for hauling a passenger.

For long rides the hawgs have longer frames and more power and weight. They handle a little more sluggishly than the lighter bike. They haul a passenger comfortably.
