To: My Favorite Headache
I saw the Ramones in 1980 at the Palladium in NYC. What a show. Non-stop, no breaks, hard core energy. Just 1-2-3-4 from one song to the next.

If I didn't have a huge headache from taking a punch in the side of the head (that's another story) I probably would have had more fun, but it was still great.

Sorry to see Dee Dee and Joey go. The Ramones are gone forever I guess.

I know The Ramones avoided politics mostly in the early years - their urpose was to have fun. The first time they did something blatently political was when Reagan went to Bitzberg - it ticked them off - apparently most of the Ramones were Reaganites (suprising, somewhat)- and they wrote a song about it...

I always enjoyed Ramones shows - high energy fun is right :0)

Yep. Loved it.
By the way it was "Up-tu-tre-fa !".

I saw the Ramones at around that same time in Houston. They played at a fairly small place, but I was never a big Ramones fan like my friend who just loved them. They put on a good show though. I did like the Pretenders quite a bit and wanted to see them in concert, but never got to. I've liked music ever since I was a little bitty kid.
