Hopefully, if conservatives can win back the senate and keep the house we can move more quickly, but Daschle even now is talking of MORE Jim Jefford defections because there were no consequences to him doing it last time. Certainly the media will celebrate if Puff pulls it off again.
Do you remember President Bush specifically saying in his address that this was not to EXPAND government but to CONSOLIDATE it? I beleive that was a message to us, his base. And I thank him for it, and wish him well. Believe me, it's easy to say things in such black and white voices, but it probably would mean we would never be elected. So how much would we accomplish?
