Actually, I thought this was the more germane portion of the quote:

That is merely one of those cute phrases that is just cute enough to sound like there is wisdom to it. But is there? What is the alternative? Leave the stinking mess just as it is? Your statement, or other cynical alternatives, can be issued for just about anything proposed or acted upon, without ever having to actually explain why it is reasonable or why there is any truth to it. I've explained some of my reasoning for witholding judgement, but all I see in that response is a meaningless statement that expresses cynicism, but provides no basis for the cyncism.

I guess we'll see. Most reorganizations I've lived through, be they governmental or corporate, have done nothing but create the illusion of progress. I'm not saying this one will fail. I'm only saying that based on my personal experience, statistically it doesn't have much of a chance of success.
