I can't remember if my grandparents' Amish neighbors would ask to borrow the car or just get a ride in the car. I wonder how common that is.

How common what is? Memory loss?

Sorry, I couldn't resist. There are people who make a living in Lancaster County driving a van -- something of an Amish taxi.

Oh. I didn't know that, these Amish neighbors were in rural Michigan. I was in Lancaster County once, but where I was at, I saw more Puerto Ricans than Amish.
