That is my understanding--hiding in the closet--and that is supposedly why they took the closet doors some 3 weeks later (after any evidence on them was likely contaminated by visitors, such as this Douglas Pierce fellow). One rumor originating from a LE wife has it that he left DNA all over the inside of those doors--so far the prosecution hasn't brought that out yet, if it's true.

When Feldman was asking PDvD as to his withholding(lying) to the LE about what went on that night in their house. PDvD answered this way: " I didn't think it mattered." he said.(end snip) Very softly under his breath, PDVD said," I still don't." That hasn't been reported as far as I can find but I heard PDvD say it. If someone has the testimony taped would they look at that part of the testimony and see if that statement is there? In case I am wrong.

Another snip from the above article: Van Dam said he and Brenda "got very nervous very quickly "when they discovered Danielle missing the morning of Feb.2." (eos.)

Think about that statement for a second.......PDvD went on to say during his testimony that as soon as he realized something very bad had happened he stopped lying to the LE and cooperated with the police.(or similar words) I believe the cooperation with LE begin something like 14 hours after finding Danielle missing.
