As it should bother you. It bothers me, as well... What bothers me also, though, is the apparent need to drum up public support for finishing the job... one would think that support for that would be a given, but alas in this nation of sheep...

Politics has always been about manipulating public opinion so there is nothing new in that. I would not however categorize these people as "patsies" They are known terrorists who are undoubtedly involved in attacks that have killed Americans. They should be hunted down like the dogs they are and dealt with as you would any rabid animal. Connections to Saddam are no doubt plentiful and frankly if the American public needs to have a few dots connected for them publicly in order to drum up enough support to take out this madman before he sets off a nuke in Washington or New York city then so be it. Whatever it takes to get the job done. I dont have any sympathy for people who want to stick there heads in the sand and think if we just stand in a circle and sing John Lenin's Imagine than we could solve the worlds problems. If a little manipulation is what it takes to wake them up to the reality that there are people in the world who want them DEAD and will not hesitate to destroy the lot of us then so be it. Whatever it takes to get the job done...and this time get it done RIGHT.
