Actors' Opinions Could Prove Costly At Box Office
A surprisingly large number of moviegoers -- 44 percent -- have indicated that they would refuse to attend a movie starring a politically outspoken star with whom they disagreed. A survey conducted by Encino, CA-based E-Poll also found a strong appetite among the public for movies with a patriotic theme, with 76 percent of those surveyed saying that they would like to see a movie about "heroic passengers of hijacked planes," and 73 percent wanting to see movies about "heroism at the World Trade Center and the Pentagon." Nevertheless, in an apparent anomaly, 36 percent of the respondents said that they would be less inclined to see a terrorist-themed movie today than they were before Sept. 11.

I thought it might be fun to start a list of the actors and others from Hollywood that we love to boycott:
The entire Baldwin family
The entire Martin Sheen family
The entire Fonda family
Julia Roberts
Susan Sarandon
Tim Robbins
Barbara Streisand
Cybill Shephard
Sean Penn
Madonna
Ted Danson
Brad Pitt & Jennifer Anniston (said nasty things about Jenna Bush in a print interview)
Robert Altman
Martin Scorcese
Oliver Stone
Robert Redford (this one is a real sacrifice for me!)
These people are totally insulated from the real world, and are woefully uninformed, yet want to tell us how to live our lives.
Feel free to add your personal favorites.
Also, please list any that you know to be conservative, ie:
Tom Selleck
Charlton Heston
Arnold Schwarzenegger(sp?)
Bo Dereck
Does anybody know about Ron Howard? I like to think he's conservative.

That's pretty much my list, though I'd add Ben Afflect (sp?) What a dick head! My only real exception is Harrison Ford. He should be on the list, but I can't help it. I really like that guy.

Reiner put River Phoenix in his movie, Stand By Me, and had him smoke throughout, (the now dead) Phoenix was only 14 years old.

I didn't go see Pearl Harbor simply because it had Baldwin in it. And I would like to see "The Sum of All Fears" but the fact that they switched over to Nazis to be politically correct and put Ben Afflicted in it took it off my list.
To: Blackyce
I agree, just because Ian McKellan is a gay activist, I am not going to boycott The Lord of the Rings movie trilogy.
To: Blackyce
I know, but it's just fun to see how many there are.
