I would also like to add that in times of war, the federal government has always assumed additional powers, only to return them to the people when the war is over.

So... when does this war end? And how soon can we expect our powers returned to us?

Never on both counts if we do something stupid that lets the Dems take control of the White House or increase their votes in the Senate and the Congress.

Their is a certain amount of faith that must be given here. I have faith in the Republicans (they insisted on sunset clauses on several of those bills - don't forget). I have no faith in the Democrats, independents, libertarians, or any other party.

People need to stop demanding the unrealistic from the Current administration. If not, profer a better choice that stand a chance in November.

A better question would be, "What war"? We're so screwed up we don't know war from diddlly squat! War on Poverty, War on Drugs, War on Crime.....The word has been bastardized just like everything else when government touches it.

President Bush told us all that it will be a long war so you might want to remind yourself of that fact from time to time....why ask a question when you know the answer? Any law passed by Congress can be repealed by Congress at any time!
