Rush may not realize that to be independent, you have also to be correct :-) Being an iconoclast just for appearences sake can put him in the crank category very quickly.He's treading a fine line now, and I doubt his vanity permits him to see how close he's edging towards parody.

The problem is that the report, read as a whole, says the science supports Bush's current policy and does not justify the Kyoto approach for the foreseeable future. The New York Times and envirowacko's spun the story to claim Bush now says the science backs Kyoto, which is false. But the media and the public are now firmly convinced the report backs Kyoto because Rush and other conservatives spun the story down the liberal line. Rush and some other conservatives shot themselves in the foot just to have a little Bushbashing fun.
