If Limbaugh is an asset to conservatives, why was his Bush/AlGore comment highlighted on NBC News last night? Are you trying to tell me that Brokaw has come over to our side?

Limbaugh probably contributed to the defeat of Bush 41 with his ranting about the tax increase, IGNORING the democrat blackmail over the Gulf War.

Listen if you want. I am done with someone who supposedly is so knowledgable about politics. I can name 20 Freepers who are better informed and wiser than Rush. Pfui.

Brokaw is our enemy. Rush is not. I do not listen to Rush because I don't listen to the radio. I read him from time to time and I read David Limbaugh all the time. I used to watch Rush's TV show. I am not saying Rush is perfect or anything, but whether you are right in your criticism of him or not (I would disagree) it should be weighed against his accomplishments for conseratives, which have been many.

What are you going to do when Bush is gone, especially if a RAT takes the helm? You and I are going to be left with the conservatives people listen to, hoping they are still on our side helping us out. We have so few friends in the media why in the world would anyone want to get rid of Rush? He's a conservatives best friend. He reaches millions. Bush should be called on his mistakes. I respect that.

Let me add that I have a mind of my own and #41's tax increase didn't bother me. He was damned if he did and damned if he didn't. At that point it was a checkmate. He made the wrong decision but it didn't bother me much. In my view, Bush's mistakes have been bigger and for pure politcal reasons....most disturbingly, for selfish political reasons, not for the good of the party or conservative cause. For a family so famously demanding of loyalty, they need to practice what they preach in that regard.

Okay just one more thing...

I would love nothing more than to be proven wrong about Bush. I love the guy's faith. That matters to me a lot. This is a battle I hope I lose and you win. I bet Rush would agree. Add George Will, Wesley Pruden, all the rest who have been uncharacteristically critical. I cannot deny what I see, and I firmly believe that constructive criticism is extremely valuable to those humble enough to listen.
