I wouldn't have made that remark, if I didn't have first hand knowledge of the situation. Grief is a powerful emotion and the bereaved mother and father took solace in the fact that George W. Bush was the Commander in Chief who sent their son to fight and die, " for a noble and just cause". They took great comfort in the personal and heartfelt condolences offered by the CinC. Tell you what-find a grieving military family, show them Rush's little video of President Bush becoming a squinty eyed, monkey faced Algore and report back on how amused the family was.

I understand your point. All I was trying to say is that those families probably have their minds on other things and are unlikely to be spending a lot of time looking at Rush's site. I think Bush has been wonderful in situations such as you've mentioned and I have thanked God as well that under such circumstances that we have such a man in the white house.

We are constantly bombarded with images and words on all sides. Some we like, some make us mad, some may offend our personal idea of what is in good taste. We choose what we like and dismiss the rest. That is the nature of freedom. But in my opinion, it is just silly to make a big deal of something like this. Take it for what it's worth, which you seem to think isn't much. I happen to agree with that premise, but it doesn't alter my thinking about Rush OR Bush one way or the other.
