So tell us, Jhoffa_, your take on this whole escapade. Was there a 180? Did Rush overreact? Did the NYT spin the story?

I downloaded the whole report, word searched it then scanned through it (quickly, because it's as exciting as watching a cat nap) and I didn't find the provocative NYT "quotes" that Rush, via Drudge reported in context.

It seems like allot of hoopla between the bush and rush factions as opposed to a debate based on the report itself.

And I'll be the first to agree with you on this point. The actual report was lost while other things outside of the scope were bandied about.
