Either those at fault are using the $24,000 sofa as a cover for other spending or they are so criminally irresponsible with their spending that the only thing they should be reclining on is a bed in prison. If it is the latter, they should NOT be free men/women. $24,000 is enough money to feed most lower income families for a year or more.
