WHERE TO EAT IN DALLAS

There are several up-scale restaurants at the West End, which is about 6 blocks north of the Dallas Convention Center. There is a map link at the top of that page.
You can compare that map to the Dallas Convention Center area map

MY FAVORITE: If you want to get out of downtown Dallas, drive north on I-75 (Central Expressway) about 5 miles and turn right onto Walnut Hill Lane and less than a football field distance away, there's a GREAT restaurant on the left called HOUSTONS. They have a variety from $8 to $19. Their ribs are wonderful, as is the chicken (and if you have any space left over for dessert... wow!!). Right next door is Dave & Busters (I've never been there but have heard good reports). One place that used to be downtown was Del Frisco's Steakhouse. But he's now located at Spring Valley (North Dallas) according to here.

For those who may be driving downtown, the convention center has about 1100 parking spaces at $8.00 per day.

Other downtown parking and rates are to be found on this PDF (Acrobat) document... Click on the downtown map
