Not denying they said it, but I don't remember "plastic" knives being mentioned. When I've flown first class, I've received actual silverware.

If anything, I think the "plastic" mention is Bull$#!+. The gov't was willing to pay out alot of money to protect the airlines. There's more than a possibility they'd be willing to engage in a bit of "misinformation" here and there. Oh, and I'm no tin-foiler, either. But there are now doubts in my mind about the weaponry used.
