I mean, if they aren't yanking air quality standards out of the abyss or whining about some guy draining the ditch behind his house they are harping about "global warming" and how it's gonna kill us all by the end of the week.
I figure the NYT story will be widely read and widely believed because there is such a great precedent for this kind of thing.
