Rush is NO bush-hater deb... and you know it. Neither am I. I just know a leopard by its spots. And cannot call it a racoon. Conservatism USED to be about the truth, to some it has become the support of the unsupportable.

This report could have and should have been tabled indefinitely. Period. Taking away issues from the dems by espousing liberalism is NOT my idea of wisdom.

You like it... good for you. I don't. Bush is acting like a sellout on this and other issues. ONE of them is on the front page of FreeRepublic and has been for months... the issue of CFR... which bush signed in to law. MOST freepers hate it. Bush bought it, hook line and sinker.

Signing it, if he truly disagreed with it, was dishonest at heart and immoral at best. This issue on the global warming will be no different. It will become the apriori for governmental aegis for the next three or four years... Bush issued the report. We are signed on with it.

What issue remains that bush has NOT yet partially caved on. Has he never met a principle that he could not compromise to get more mileage out of? Is that what I want in a president?

I had hoped for something better, that is all. And I am disappointed. I think it is just too bad... although it could have been worse, I guess.

Bush didn't buy the CFR and you know it. He chose to sign it and let the Supreme Court make the final kill. He's smart enough to know how to deal with McCain Democrats once and for all. Too bad you aren't.
