Bush is pandering to the Moderate Voters hoping that it will help him get re-elected in 2004, and help the Republicans regain the Senate, and increase their strength in the House. Nothing more should be read into this situation.

Playing to the moderates four months to a major election might not be such a bad idea. Unfortunately, it is the high number of moderates, rather than an increasingly-conservative base, which is probably keeping Bush's approval ratings so respectable.

Bush may be also helping trash the stock market, by adopting anti-business policy papers, and giving the greenies ammunition to push for laws and regs that will kill jobs. The controversy on this thread is whether Rush said something or other, while the controversy ought to be whether Bush is adopting Daschle's politics and policies - and undermining the economy as a result.

Bush is on the path to defeat. If pandering to the global warming crowd is a winner, then the sooner a state secedes from the United States the better. Democrats win on triangulation and pandering to the right because the people of this country are basically conservative.

Triangulation and moving left is a loser for Republicans, because they will lose the votes of the conservative base. The Republicans need to learn this lesson. They have not learned by listening and are only going to learn when we all stay home and let the Democrats win. If Bush can't control a Democratic Congress after the November elections, then we will need to elect an actual conservative in 2004.

Rush you have always refused to seek office. The financial viability of the United States will begin to go down the drain as early as 2008 and will be irreversible by 2012. Large-scale secessions and/or civil war will occur before the presidential election of 2016. If this madness is to be arrested and reversed, it has to happen soon. Your candidacy offers the best hope for meaningful change. Excellence in Golf could possibly fund a 2004 campaign and easily fund a campaign in 2008. Bush is just another politician. He is not the conservative statesman we need or are seeking. How long are you going to wait before reaching this conclusion for your self? I suspect you have known it for sometime, but refused to admit the possibility even to your self. Time is going to run out. Please don't wait too long. It takes time to generate market share and cash flows of the magnitude needed to fund a campaign that will cost more than a hundred million.
