The Saudi ruling family has kept the region balanced and US-friendly since they took control. Without them history in the region and the world would have been very different. They have supported and financed every mission asked of them and have condemned bin Laden from the beginning of his hate campaign in the early 90's.

Every point you make is straight from the NYT and part of the current over-all campaign to further trash a valuable ally. Many in this forum also buy into it. But there are more radical anti-Americans teaching in US universities, and writing books in New York city and London, including Angela Davis, Norman Mailer and Susan Sontag, etc. than there are in Saudi Arabia.
