Don't let me screen name fool you. The article is true, I wrote it and confirmed it.
I can't say why other news outlets are not covering this. I wish that they would, this is significant news related to national security.
An interesting issue that was not mentioned in the article is the steps that had to be taken just to confirm the report. The FBI field office in Tacoma was contacted and unaware of the break-in or that there was even an INS office in the area. Other offices were contacted as well that should have known about the break-in, as with the FBI office, they had no-idea.
The building (World Trade Center Tacoma) was contacted and they confirmed the office existed. Shortly thereafter TWD got a call from an INS agent in the office to discuss the story.

Geez the first thing that needs to happen is to put the entire office on a polygraph. Obviously someone knew this was in the safe .
