Not strange. Among other things, the INS is the "Border Patrol," which rounds up illegals, some of whom are criminals, and others of whom may be expected to be violent.
Sure sounds like an inside job to steal the stuff or an inside job to cover up for past illegal use of these stamps to those who would harm America.
Re the gun, the INS and Border Patrol People are often armed.
This past spring a humorous happening pointed out how some Border Patrol people are armed even when off duty.
This family we know had a family reunion. Their daughter from the East Coast and her brother/their son flew up from San Diego, where is he with the Border Patrol and some special task force.
At about 2 am, the daughter hears someone trying to breakin via her bed room window. She slipped out of her room to tell her brother. He grabbed a pair of jeans, his thongs and his 9 mm. She then called 911 and was getting a run around. Then she looked out and said, "Actually you can take all the time you, my Brother is an off duty border patrol guy, he has his pistol and is handling the guy quite well. The bad guy really bounces off of the pavement and the strange truck outside right after he curses my brother."
The cops were there in a couple of minutes. The guy was arrested and turned out be an illegal alien. This time the local crybabies for illegal aliens backed away, and the guy has been handled.
The question should be about whether the weapon and stamps were secured properly?
If it were an inside job, then there would not have been a break-in, the items would have just disappeared slowly over a period of time.
The stamps themselves are not a big issue. Any document made by the stamps, gets run in the systems and if the person with the document can't answer the questions, he's toast.
The admission stamp number has already been disseminated to the other INS offices, so if it is used, we will know about it.
The red ink the INS uses for the stamps is not at all ordinary, and has never been duplicated. So if they use these stamps, the ink they use will not be the same and will be readily identifiable to an Inspector.
Most of this stuff will be used to make documents that illegals will use to get jobs. I doubt this has anything to do with terrorism.
You might ask Elian Gonzalez...
RIGHT, I would bet it weas an inside job, for sure!!
This news alone is not conforting. And ... in lieu of this latest botch job at the INS, it's even more discomforting ... mainly because both of these areas have massive military groups - including all kinds of ships; i.e., aircraft carriers, subs, etc. This is well publicized, so I'm not telling you anything that is not already well known by the public.
