The reason her TV show tubed is that she was not herself. She toned down the "Dr. L-ness" for a TV audience more accustomed to the Oprah confessional. She is FAR better on radio. Never should have tried the TV thing. Her blaming TV's failure on others is rather pathetic.
Should call with THAT one: "I tried a new job but wasn't myself. They fired me. No one supported me. Boo-hoo." "You miserable pathetic wretch. You were successful before because of who you were. You changed that and have only yourself to blame."
Not really. The whole story is that she was forced to "tone down" because the gay lobby hit her sponsorship so hard. Plus, the affliates that carried her didn't want to put her on at the scheduled time, so she drew some weird time slots. That started the whole chain reaction.
If the left "no free speech" crowd would have not spread half truths (like PJ), she might have had a chance to be tough and develop a better format. It might not have worked, but we'll never know.
