I caught some guy going out to where we store oxygen tanks the other morning, very early, and he had no badge. I said good morning and tried to talk to him and he hung his head and quickly left the building. I told our security about it but no one thought anything of it.
I go in at 4 am. This guy went out to the storage area with a large cooler, then returned with the cooler empty. The lid was slightly ajar.
I guess we all need to be on alert. Our hospital is a trauma center, level 3, though not large.

Hi MarMema, it sounds important to me. You might want to write a letter and deliver it to the hospital administrator. I wouldn't let one goofball's nonchalance stop your report. That's how disasters occur - lots of people knew about the initial steps, but no one spoke up. You didn't mention what the man looked like, but if he belonged to a group statiscally more relevant (see how nicely I phrased that?) I'd really be concerned. Of course, it could just be your typical Seattle nutcase.
