Actually ancient Egypt was a melting pot sort of place.

I totally agree.

What is obvious, however, from these trogs who claim Egyptian heritage, to wit: architecture, astronomy, mathmatics, engineering, and organized government----as "wooly haired dark-skinned people," the original Egyptians....is a joke. And everybody knows it.

Sub Sahara Africa and its peoples gave the world little in any of the above categories. Hopelessly fumbling around, they seized on Egyptian culture, which is uniquely its own and more Arabic in nature----not African.

I own a book called The Victorian Homefront . It was written by a college professor. The book contains the line "He (Richard Wright) had learned that the ancient Egyptians , who had made so many discoveries, were African American." Whether the author or the editor was responsible for wording of that incredibly stupid statement, I do not know, but it's in a hardbound university press book with LOC status.

Even if the ancient Egyptians were black (which usually translates to, of west African appearance, which is highly unlikely in the extreme) they could hardly be African-American , now could they? And yet that line was printed in a book which is part of an ongoing series on "American Thought and Culture", and is used in college classrooms. .
