They have been told, in no uncertain terms, that the Republican Party does not need them to win.

They don't need me to win, either, which is good, because they aren't getting me.

A vote for someone other than a Republican is not a vote for a Democrat. It's a vote for someone other than a Republican.

This sort of spin is what lets the Republican leadership think it can do whatever it wants and still hold onto its base. It reminds me of the Simpson's episode where two aliens came to Earth an impersonated Clinton and Dole. It was revealed at the election that they were two aliens who wanted to take over the Earth, and the aliens laughed because, since they were the only two candidates, the people had to elect one of them because it was a *two party system*.

Well, I'll vote for whomever I think best, no matter what their party, and if that person doesn't win, then that's what democracy is about, IMO.

I will ask the same question of you. Who should be the next POTUS regardless of party?

You are NOT the base.

And just who else is going to win? It's either the GOP or the DNC. There ain't a third choice.

Your vote against the Republicans IS a vote for the democrats - no matter what you say or think. Reality is reality.
