Randy was not the only one left ... he had two other children to consider (in addition to a severelly wounded friend) ... he himself was wounded. Your other comments are as misinformed (IMHO) as this one about him being the last one living to get out ... absolutely false.
Please read more about the issue ... a LOT more ... before you impune the character of a person whom you have in all likelihood never met or talked to personally and whom went through HELL at the hands of a government he willingly and honorably served.
Would that all could serve our nation as faithfully as Randy Weaver.
At any rate ... I have said my piece on this ... I could not let such an assertion stand without it being balanced by the other side of the coin. I am willing to let anyone read all the facts in the case ... including the trial transcripts and come to their own conclusions.
BS. The only reason that his friend was let go is that Bo Gritz threatened to testify against him in court if he didn't. Weaver had 18months to take care of the issue and decided to make a last stand anyway. Then his kid and his wife are killed and he walks away with 3.1 mil for serving the sentence he would have served if he had answered the charges in the first place! The man is scum.
