What you prefer, and what will happen, are vastly different things. You'd best reconcile yourself to that fact. The public schools are NEVER going to be completely done away with ; not in your lifetime, anyway, unless there is a total castastrophic nuclear war / plague , which wipes out about 70 % of the population .

Whether or not there are public schools is a state issue, not a federal one. You might want to reread my post, as you've missed the point.

No, I got your point; I was making another one. BTW, President Bush didn't promise to get the Fed gov out of education. Neither did he ever say that he was going to disban that department. No president has EVER made that promise.

I was merely explaining to you, that you're not going to get what you want. Is the public school system broken ? YES ! Can it be fixed ? Yes, but ... it would take a great deal of work and many decades to do so under our present system of government.
